Obituary of Orville Vernon Munn
Orville Munn passed away July 9, 2019 in Decatur, Texas at the age of 80. He was born in Boyd, Texas on May 26, 1939 to Orlie and Eva Munn. He was a service member of the U.S. Army for 2 years and the National Guard for 4 years. He married his wife, Frances (Lancaster) Munn of 51 years in April of 1968.
Orville worked for various prominent companies throughout his life such as TXI, Peterbilt, Hanson, and Key before he finally retired to spend time with his grandkids. He loved camping, fishing, and playing ball with the kids and the dog.
He was a huge football fan and loved cheering on the Bulls under those Friday night lights.
He is survived by his wife and sassy (dog) of Bridgeport; daughter Laura (Munn) Argo of Bridgeport; grandchildren Candice Stone and husband Brandon of Runaway Bay; CJ Rhine and wife Camella; Tyler Rhine and wife Jessica, all of Bridgeport. His pride and joy were 10 great-grandchildren Alec, Grant, Bella, Paisley, Ollie, Kaidy, Leah, Logan, Harley and Jimmy Derick; brothers Ronnie Munn and wife Barbara, Jerry Munn and sister Donna Munn all of Bridgeport; Sister-in-laws Shirley Munn of Bridgeport; Joy Munn of Midlothian and Chris Worley of Comanche; five nephews, three nieces, and numerous cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bill and Jimmy Munn, and great-grandchildren Derick Thomas, John and Madison.
