Obituary of Lanetta Johnson
Services for Lanetta Gwen (McDaniel) Johnson, 63, of Bridgeport, Texas will be 11:00 am, Friday, November 1, 2019 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Bro. Lee Sipe. Burial will follow in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steven Bolin, Blake Bolin, Scott Bolin, Jim Hamblin, Hunter Garcia, and Dillon Roberts. Visitation is at 10:00 am Friday, one hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. She passed away Monday, October 28 in Decatur.
Lanetta was born May 23, 1956 in Bridgeport to Murph and Frankie (Jackson) McDaniel.
In her career life, she worked for 15 years with special need adults.
She loved her family and told them so at every possible chance.
Lanetta is survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael Johnson of Bridgeport; daughter Shelly Dorsey and husband Darin of Azle, Texas; parents Dennis and Frankie Elam of Azle; siblings Lavonda Hamblin and husband James of Bridgeport, Frankie Bolin and husband Larry of Newark, Texas, Scooter McDaniel of Fort Worth; grandchildren Shelbi Garcia of Azle, and Hunter Garcia of Chico; great-granddaughter Preslee Garcia; and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Murph McDaniel, grandparents James Lloyd and Nettie Jackson, and Richard and Florence McDaniel.
