Obituary of Robert Johnson
Graveside services for Robert Duane Johnson, 49, of Sunset, Texas will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Sunset Cemetery in Sunset, Texas, officiated by Apostle Quint Burks. Visitation will be Friday, November 8 from 6-8 pm at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Robert was born February 23, 1970 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Vernon Dale Johnson and wife LeeAnn Katherine (Lucht).
At the time of his death, Robert was a Senior Lead Driver for BlueLine Food Distributions in Grand Prairie, Texas. After 11 years with the company, he was chosen as the Employee of the Month. His response to this news was, “It’s about time!”
His life was categorized in this order: work, family and hunting. He had a fierce devotion to his family and friends. He loved spending time with people, and being outdoors.
He is survived by wife Cynthia Denise Johnson of Sunset; Cody Duane Johnson of Sunset; stepdaughter Candice Martin of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters Naviah Johnson and Dallas Johnson; mother LeeAnn Herd and husband James of Dallas; brother and sister Dennis Johnson and wife Leia of Three Rivers, Texas, and Nikki German and husband Gregg of South Dakota; brothers Gary Pafford and wife Ann of Collinsville, Texas, Howard Pafford and wife Donna ‘Wezzy’ of Pittsburg, Texas; sister Tammy Mays and husband David of Olney, Texas; many nieces and nephews, and other family.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Dale Johnson, brother Terry Dale Johnson, stepsister Debra Rouse, and paternal grandparents Grandma and Grandpa Johnson.
