Obituary of Bobby Ray Boydstun
Graveside services for Bobby Ray Boydstun, 83, of Chico, Texas will be 11:00 am Friday, December 20, 2019 in Chico Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Bill Hughes. Bobby passed away Tuesday, December 10 in Denton.
He was born January 9, 1936 to William Ernest and Mattie Elizabeth (Stephenson) Boydstun in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a Korean War veteran.
Bobby was an entrepreneur and over the length of his varied career he owned and operated several restaurants and truckstops.
He was the type to never meet a stranger. Even while grocery shopping, Bobby would strike up many conversations before leaving the store.
He loved wheeling and dealing and making money, and going to auctions.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 65 years, Hazel Boydstun of Chico; son Kevin Boydstun, Sr. of Chico; daughter Sheila Amaral of Hughson, California; grandchildren Kevin Boydstun, Jr., Brianna VanConnett, Shonn Boydstun, Corrin Mancedo, Katie Amaral, and Ryan Amaral; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son Bobby Ray Boydstun, Jr.
