Obituary of Cathy D. Reed
Services for Cathy Darlene Reed, 69, of Bridgeport, Texas will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Brother Bill Cleveland. Burial will follow at East Bridgeport Cemetery in Bridgeport. Pallbearers are Colby Burdine, Matt Robinson, Ben Burdine, Kolton Forbus, Waylon Barclay, and Seth Weatherly. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, March 16 also at the funeral home. Cathy passed away Friday, March 13 in Decatur, Texas.
She was born on December 22, 1950 in Bowie, Texas to William David Scrogum and Billie Weldon (Swindell). Cathy was united in marriage to Jimmy Reed on December 13, 1975 in Dallas, Texas.
Cathy was a homemaker and loved to cook. She really enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Burdine and husband Cody of Bridgeport; grandchildren Colby Burdine and wife Jennifer of Crafton, Texas, Emily Burdine of Alvord, Texas, Shelby Barclay of Bridgeport, Ben Burdine of Bridgeport; sister Margaret Taylor of Denton, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cathy was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Jimmy Reed, and her parents.
