Obituary of Mary Bentley

A private, family graveside service for Mary Margaret Bentley, 65, of Weatherford, Texas will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas, officiated by Rev. Ron Ebert. Mary passed away Wednesday, April 15 in Weatherford.

 

Mary was born January 15, 1955 in Fort Worth to John Joseph and Anne Angeline (Nasche) Muth.

 

Education was important to Mary. After earning her Bachelors Degree, she continued her education and earned a Masters Degree from Texas Christian University. She started her teaching career as a coach but Mary had a 34-year counseling career with the Fort Worth ISD.

 

Her entire career was spent with at-risk schools.

 

She devoted her life to nonprofit organizations and was a staunch advocate for Union Gospel Missions, Safe Havens, Presbyterian Night Shelter, and Kiwanis Club.

 

She is survived by her husband Robert Bentley of Weatherford; son Aaron Bentley and wife Candice of Bridgeport, Texas; daughter Angela Ebert and husband Shaun of Hudson Oaks, Texas; grandchildren Ayden Ebert, Caleb Ebert, and Mason Bentley; sisters Cathy, Eileen, Theresa, and Kathleen; and brothers Johnny and Jimmy.

 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents John and Anne Muth, and sister Patty Dozier.
