Visitation will be 10:00 am Thursday, one hour prior to the service. She passed away Thursday, May 21 at home.
Johanna was born May 19, 1947 in Mering, Germany to Mathias Boeglmuller and wife Katharina (Welzmueller) Boeglmuller. She married her husband Doyle Bryant on December 22, 1969 in Augsburg, Germany.
She loved the beach and went as often as possible, and would drag husband Doyle as often as she could to sit and watch the birds and the waves.
She was a natural caretaker and enjoyed taking care of her special-needs daughter Peggy Bryant until Johanna became ill late last year.
She enjoyed being with friends and family and loved to make people laugh. Even on her last day, she was joking with the family.
Johanna was a planner and loved to be in control of things, including her final plans. She went over the details with daughter Bettina again and again to make sure everything would be handled the way she wanted.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Doyle Bryant of Bridgeport; son Rolf Zoerkendoerfer of Boyd, Texas; daughters Bettina Hill and husband Robert of Bridgeport, and Peggy Bryant of Wichita Falls, Texas; brother Helmut Hofmann and wife Siggi of Germany; brothers-in-law Jerry Bryant of Bridgeport, and Johnny Bryant and wife Martha of Bridgeport; granddaughter Katherine Rogers and husband Marc of North Richland Hills, Texas; grandson Andrew Hill of The Colony, Texas, Christopher Hill and girlfriend Anastasia Rodriguez of Paradise, Texas, and Lewis Bright of Boyd; and great-granddaughters Caitlin Downey of Mobile, Alabama, and Bailey Downey of North Richland Hills; and a whole host of nieces, nephews, a few cousins, and lots of friends.
Johanna was preceded in death by her father Mathias Boeglmuller and mother Katharina Boeglmuller, brother Michael Boeglmuller, in-laws Melvin and Lawanna Bryant, and brother-in-law Delwin Bryant.
