Obituary of Lanora Dorothy Evans
Services for Lanora Dorothy Evans, 74, of Chico, Texas will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Chico, officiated by Ronnie Lawson. Burial will follow at Chico Cemetery. Pallbearers are Larry Flowers, Larry Mader, Tommy Maddux, Richard Craig, Weldon Bartoo, and Anthony Bartoo. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 11, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Lanora passed away on Thursday, August 6, in Decatur.
Lanora was born on February 24, 1946, to James and Dorothy Kroeker. She worked in the healthcare field and loved taking care of others.
She loved working at the church and was a very godly woman. Lanora enjoyed taking care of her plants. She loved her grandchildren and loved spending time with family.
Lanora is survived by her husband Ralph Evans of Chico; daughter Sandra Caraway and husband Bobby of Altus, Oklahoma; sons Weldon Bartoo of Alvord, Texas, Anthony Bartoo and wife Tracy of Springtown, Texas, and Scott Evans of Yantis, Texas; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws Willie and Nelda Vincent.
