Obituary of Tommy Wayne Ford
Funeral service for Tommy Wayne Ford, 71, of Azle, will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home with burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-7 pm, also at the funeral home. He passed away October 18 at home.
Tommy was born October 14, 1949, to R.G. (Boots) Ford & Dorthy Jones Ford in Bridgeport. He was self- employed and worked as a truck owner and operator. He loved and enjoyed his family and especially his grandkids. He really gave them a hard time and the feeling was mutual. He liked, traveling, hunting, and fishing. He was Christian who loved his Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Shella Moore Ford; son, Darrell Ford and wife Tracie of Azle; daughter, Kimberly Abbott of Azle; sisters, Elaine Hearn of Grand Saline, Peggy Kirkpatrick of Fort Worth, Diann Cole of Cottondale, Pearl Martin of Azle; grandchildren, T.J. Ford, Toby Ford, Hanna Abbott, Noah Abbott, Hayden Steedman, and Nicole Steedman; one great grandchild on the way, Swade McKinley Ford; and a host of other family and friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Faye Dugan, Frances Bennett; and brother, Floyd (Bub) Ford.
