Obituary of Anna Moore
Services for Anna Loy Moore, 83, of Chico, Texas will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by son Richard Moore. Burial will follow at Chico Cemetery. Pallbearers are Allen Dethloff, Chris Dethloff, Caleb Moore, Lee Watson, Alvin Dethloff, and Tim Green. Honorary pallbearer is brother Eddie Brown. An open viewing will be available all day Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Anna passed away Sunday, October 25 in Decatur.
She was born January 9, 1937 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Charles ‘Pete’ Brown and wife Ima Maxine (Anderson) Brown. On October 20, 1961 she married Carver Dale Moore. In fact, because the couple eloped, the location of the marriage is somewhat of a mystery.
In the face of a lot of adversity, Dale and Anna committed to each other in marriage, a union that celebrated 40 + years. Central to the success of their marriage was their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Anna was a true homemaker and enjoyed cooking, working in the yard, reading, and particularly spending time with family.
Anna is survived by son Richard Moore and wife Sharon of Terrell, Texas; daughter Kelli Dethloff and Alvin of Chico; siblings Eddie Brown and wife Cheryl of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Robbie Bell of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and Jana Green and husband Tim of Bridgeport; grandchildren Joshua, Caleb, Kara, Corrie, Julie, Allen, and Chris; great-grandchildren Charlie, Witten, Fitz, Levi, Graham, and Mason; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Maxine Brown, husband Dale Moore; siblings James R. ‘Jimmy’ Brown, and Sharon Kay Owens.
