Obituary of Vina O. Doty
Vina O'Lene (Fulfer) Doty went home to be with our Lord on December 12, 2020 in Bridgeport, Texas at the age of 94 years and two months.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am January 9, 2021 at Cates Street Church of Christ, officiated by Randall Doty and assisted by Britt Doty, Rocky Doty, and David Warner. Social distancing and masks will be observed.
Vina was born October 12, 1926 in Blum, Texas to Clark and Josephine (Pace) Fulfer.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edgar Lee ‘Bill’ Doty on March 8, 1947 in Cleburne, Texas. They raised their four boys and shared 51 years of life together until his death on May 15, 1998.
She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ, loved her Lord, her family, especially her grandchildren and friends. She was a master seamstress, quilter, and lived all but the last few months of her life independently.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her four sons, Randall Doty of Anna, Texas, Steve and Oksana Doty of Bridgeport, Rocky Doty of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Britt and Bonnie Doty of Quanah, Texas; eight grandchildren: Angela Keister and Rob of Slidell, Louisiana; Stephen and Monica Doty of Alvord, Texas; Blake Doty of Chico, Texas; Dusty and Taffy Doty of New Braunfels, Texas; Reid and Amanda Doty of Helotes, Texas; Shae and Kevin Whisenhunt of Gatesville, Texas; Colter and Tarea Doty of Addison, Texas; and Caitlin Johnson of Saginaw, Texas; 17 great-grandchildren, and many extended family, friends and loved ones.
