Obituary of Frank Ortega
Services for Frank Ortega, 50, of Rhome, Texas will be 10:30 am Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Aurora Baptist Church in Aurora, Texas, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Withers. Burial will follow in Aurora Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joel Ortega, Tim Ortega, Nathaniel Ortega, Grayson Ortega, Frank Ortega, Jr., Rick Young, Randy Lee, and Richard Young. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday, February 2 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Frank passed away Friday, January 29 in Dallas, Texas after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Frank was born October 19, 1970 in Fort Worth, Texas to Timothy Salas Ortega and wife Minerva.
Frank was one of a kind, and those closest to him considered him to be a real blessing.
He was owner/operator of Transport Trust Trucking Company, and his mode of operation was closely related to the philosophy behind the old song, ‘Eastbound and Down’, sung by Jerry Reed which says, “We’ve got a long way to go and a short time to get there.” Frank was always ready to go and he could accomplish more than most in a 24-hour period, whether at work or play.
He had a dry sense of humor. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh.
If Frank was ever sitting still, he was somewhat of a cartoonist and was usually doodling on any paper he could find.
He loved the Lord and raised his family to love Him as well.
Frank leaves behind his wife Amber Ortega of Rhome; son Frank Ortega, Jr., and Grayson Ortega; daughter Avery Ortega; father Tim Ortega, mother Minerva Ortega; siblings Tim Ortega, Jr. and wife Carol, Joel Ortega, and Nathaniel Ortega; and numerous family members.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Raquel's Wings for Life, a non-profit organization that transports cancer patients free of charge.
