Obituary of Mike Ashmore

Services for Maxie O’Dell ‘Mike’ Ashmore of Haltom City, Texas will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Christ Way Bible Church in Haltom City, officiated by Bro. Bennie Dendy. Mike passed away Sunday, March 14 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 62.

 

He was born November 28, 1958 in Sun Valley, California to parents Lester C. Ashmore and Daisy F (Goss) Orozco. He married Kathy Noble on April 13, 1984 in Fort Worth.

 

A plumber by trade, Mike started his own plumbing company, Mike’s Plumbing in Haltom City. He also worked with Robert Moore at RJF Trucking for 15 years.

 

He was a member of the Texas Plumbing Board, and was also a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Fort Worth.

 

He loved spending time with family, and particularly enjoyed spending time with the grandkids who lovingly referred to Mike as ‘Pawpaw’. He also liked motorcycles and old cars.

 

Mike leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Kathy Ashmore of Haltom City; daughters Elizabeth Robles of Fort Worth, Rachel Embrey of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren Megan Wines and husband Tyler, Hunter Embrey, Kaylee Embrey, Jesse Robles, Christian Robles, Lucas Robles, Gabriel Robles, Alissa Robles, Audrey Robles, Kasen Tapp, and Paislee Wright; brother Carl Ashmore of Arkansas; sisters Sally Ashmore, Diana Bennett and husband Casey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Margie Collins, Patricia Blanchard; and brother Lester Ashmore.
