Obituary of Clarice Clark

A private, graveside service will be held at a later date for Clarice Noble Clark of Boyd, a woman who lived to be 101. She passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Arlington, Texas.

 

She was born November 18, 1919 in Whitesboro, Oklahoma to Lee Allen Minor and wife Tora Dell Mitchum.

 

She grew up in Healdton, Oklahoma during the Great Depression and learned how to make do with what was available.

 

19-year-old Clarice eloped with Richard Clark on April Fool’s Day, April 1, 1939 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. The couple raised two sons. Spending time with her family was the most important thing in her life.

 

Clarice leaves behind daughter-in-law Kay Clark of Boyd, Texas; grandchildren Randall Clark of Boyd, Shelley Gatlin and husband Mitchell of Austin, Texas, Raymond Clark and wife Joy of Celina, Texas, and Julie Eaves and husband Leland of Boyd; and great-grandchildren Dylan, McKensie, and Ben Gatlin, Lainey, Hallie, Jack, and John Reed Clark, and Brayden, and Kaylee Eaves.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, sons James Richard Clark, Jr. and Lee Allen Clark, and siblings Warner Mozell, Shelby, and Wendell Vertrees.
