I met Mike 27 years ago when I was working for IBM. We became fast friends and I loved working with him as he had remarkable technical acumen and a brilliant mind. We shared a passion for new and disruptive technologies, which put us both into some very unique and exciting opportunities, which we were able to work and share with each over these many, many years.
Later in life, we both came to share our most important and timeless passion which was The Love of Jesus. Mike was beyond devoted to Christ and was such a great Disciple and Disciple Maker.
I loved him with all my heart and will miss him more than words can describe. I also know that we will meet again in Heaven, which has had its Trumpets Blazing and it’s Angels Singing as they welcomed Mike Hime.

I only knew Mike briefly but he reached out to my husband & I during a family crisis. He offered prayers & support and it meant more to us than he will ever know. I am so sorry for your loss. It’s fair to say that what he did here during his short lifetime - his impact for good - outnumbers what many people could only strive for in a thousand lifetimes. He’s enjoying paradise with our Savior, praise God. Praying for your family.

I would like to send my sincerest of condolences to the entire Cheves family. I knew Mike struggled with his condition for a very long time and it's a very sad day for me personally.
I know Mike is in a better place now and pain free. I will miss him very much. He was a dear friend to me.
Kristie, Michael, Shelby and Marty, your father was a wonderful man. Keep your heads up high. If there's anything I can do, do not hesitate to let me know.
Always,
Neal

Mike was a caring, loving, sincere man. I am blessed to have him as a friend, albeit way too short. I loved him, and will hold his memory in my heart as long as I live. I am saddened for your family's loss, and give you my heartfelt condolences.
